Psychology Laboratory

The department has organized various Field works / Industry visits and they are as follow s :

1. Visit to different counseling centers.

2. Visit to different schools to understand the problems of adolescents and pro adolescents.

The department also organized 15 lectures on different topics of Educational Psychology and Five Association meetings and held every year.

Apart from these, the department also organizes several orate Cal competitions for the students on the below listed topics:

1. Uplifting of the rural Masses

2. Religious psychology

3. Developmental aspects of women

Psycho Quiz competitions: Twice in a year for UG students Extension activities undertaken:

1. Group Guidance to students in schools and colleges on the following subjects every year: Building self confidence

• Power of Sub-conscious
• Memory Improvement
• Developing proper emotional skills
• Acquiring positive attitude

2. Minimum of two in- service courses every year

• Practical was to solve Psycho educational problems
• Emotional quotient of teachers and classroom management
• Affective system approach to learning
• Psychological approaches to classroom management.

Biological Sciences Laboratory

BSL was creating in this college, with the following objectives:

• To Prepare the instructional materials for teaching and learning Biology
• To prepare the teaching aids for teaching and learning Biology
• To undertake the projects reflecting the trends in Biological Science education
• To practice various methods of teaching such as cooperative learning, team teaching etc.,

For fulfilling these objectives, the following activities undertaken by the teachers and students:

• Discussing the various aspects of the Present curriculum among the student teachers and the teacher educator of this department is the moderator.
• Here we conducting student seminar, debates, symposium on the various topics of the school syllabus.
• To practices micro teaching skills.
• Conducting demonstration classed for the student teachers
• Preparing teaching aids and other learning materials
• Practice in using audiovisual material.

The aspiration of children to gain knowledge in science is growing high. Developing pupils with a scientific attitude is an art. These demands for a skilled science teacher, Science laboratories in colleges of education play a major role in developing such skilled science teachers.

More than these, it acts as a resource hub for the teachers who are in service.
